Description
Stringer has been adopted!
Stringer was found on a busy road. He could barely walk. His tail had been tied tightly with a heavy string and infection has set in. Some ignorant people think this is a suitable way to dock a tail without paying a veterinarian for the surgery. Imagine it being so important to have a dog with a certain look ... a docked tail in this case ... that the owner would cause his puppy such indescribable pain. We've seen this dozens of times but it never gets easier.
Stringer had emergency surgery to remove what was left of his tail. He is on antibiotics to clear up the infection and a super-premium diet and to help him recover. He is a 3 month old Pit Bull mix with a shy saddness that can melt your heart.
Stringer is the current recipient of our Angels Fund because his vet bills are extensive. If you are not able to adopt Stringer but would like to contribute to his health care, you may designate your donation by phone at 803-739-9333 or on line at Angel's Fund.
